Mosimane faces a selection headache ahead Bucs clash
Mamelodi Sundowns coach, Pisto Mosimane, is facing some selection headache when his side welcomes off-form Orlando Pirates at the Loftus Stadium on Tuesday night, kickoff at 19:30 CAT.
The Brazilians will go to Tuesday night’s encounter without three of their regular players after attacking midfielder Khama Billiat received his fourth yellow card in their last match against Ajax Cape Town to be suspended for the encounter against Pirates.
While strikers Katlego Mashego and Curthbert Malajila are out through injuries, this leaves the former Supersport United coach with less options as he is left with only Rodney Ramagalela as an option, and the striker will expect to start against the Bucs after scoring in their last match against Ajax where his goal was a match winner to send his side to the next round of the Nedbank Cup.
There is another regular player doubtful for the crucial match and is none other than right-back Bryce Moon. The former Penathinaikos defender went for MRI scan after colliding with fellow defender Alje Schut in their last match, but Pisto Mosimane has options in that position compared to the striking department.
If former Black Leopards goal poacher Rodney Ramagalela gets jaded on the night or gets injured, then Pisto Mosimane will be left with Liberian attacker Antony Laffor as an option, and only if he didn’t start the former Jomo Cosmos man as an attacking midfielder in the space of suspended Khama Billiat.
