Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho expects former player Didier Drogba to return to the club one day either as a player or coach.
Drogba, who made 341 appearances for the Blues in an eight year spell, is seen as a hero to the club and it's fanbase.
Following the game between Galatasaray and Chelsea midweek, where Drogba was a bit-part player for most of the game, Mourinho told he press in attendance: "I think it will happen one day.
"When, I don't know, as a player, coach or ambassador, next year or four, five, ten years, I don't know.
"But when a person represents so much to a club and when a club represents so much to a person, and that's the case, I think he has to be back one day.
"Undoubtedly he's one of the most important players in the history of the club."
Drogba said before the second leg Champions League clash with his former club, that he would have been happy if they (Galatasaray) could have beaten his former club, but admitted it would have been impossible to celebrate.
