Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the arrival of former Bafana Bafana striker Katlego Mphela from Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 29-year old arrives on a loan but will sign a permanent contract with the defending Absa Premiership Champions when the season ends after signing a pre-contract this month with Kaizer Chiefs.
The Glomour Boys have been looking for the new faces at the club as they prepare to defend their crown as well as a campaign in the CAF Champions league commencing in Februaty. Katlego Mphela joins attacking midfielder George Maluleka in the list of new players at Neturena.
The former France-based striker said after the deal was sealed. “I wish to thank Mamelodi Sundowns for all the years that they have been good to me. I know Kaizer Chiefs fans have been waiting for my arrival.
“I am not here to add numbers, I want to contribute and help Chiefs win more silverware,” added the former Supersport United hit-man
Katlego Mphela will battle for position at Amakhosi with the likes of Kingston Nkhatha, Knowledge Musona and red-hot striker Bernard Parker.
