Barcelona's Gerard Pique feels his side have made as good a start to the season as they could have expected.
The Catalans sit on top of the Primera Division table with 22 points from eight games, while they have won all their Champions League matches so far.
"We've had a great start," Pique said. "We've won a lot of games and we're currently leaders.
"It's true that a couple of our matches have been tough, but the team is playing well.
"We couldn't have started the season any better. There is a good connection in the team and I think we'll have a great season."
The defender said he is not far away from fully recovering from his foot injury, but will not take any risks to rush his comeback.
"I'm feeling good, much better. I did everything I could to play against Madrid, but in the end we decided to not run any risks. When my foot responds well, I'll start to train," he said.
Pique has made seven official appearances for Barca so far this season.
