Pulis backs Ince to keep Palace up

Tony Pulis has backed Tom Ince to cope with the Premier League and hopes his new signing will help Crystal Palace stave off relegation.
Ince joined from Championship outfit Blackpool on loan until the end of the season on Friday, after talks with a host of clubs, although his signature was not secured in time to feature in Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Arsenal.
The winger scored 18 goals in the second tier last season, and racked up seven in 23 appearances before his deadline-day move.
He joined as one of five new arrivals at Selhurst Park in just 24 hours, and Pulis hopes the 22-year-old will provide a boost in their bid to avoid the drop.
"We hope he helps us stay in the Premiership," he said.
"We hope after that couple of months that we prove he should be at this football club. He's a very talented young player, but more importantly he scores goals.
"He comes off the line, or you can play him in behind. He's an intelligent player who can get in behind and make runs.
"He's got almost 200 league games at such a young age, he needs to step up again and test himself. We're convinced he'll cope with it."
