Reading confirm Ince bid
Reading manager Brian McDermott has confirmed the club have made an offer for Liverpool target Tom Ince.
McDermott was unwilling to discuss the potential transfer too much but Reading are believed to have tabled a bid in the region of eight million pounds for the Blackpool attacker.
"We've made a bid, we're waiting on Blackpool to come back to us on that one," the 51-year-old told reporters.
"He's a Blackpool player so it's difficult for me to talk about players that don't belong to us.
"He's got quality, he can play number 10 or out wide on either side, he loves his football and can score or create goals. He's got a real hunger.
"He's a good player with potential. I imagine there's a lot of interest in him, but once again I have to say this is a player who doesn't belong to us."
The England Under-21 international has been strongly linked with a return to Anfield just a year on from leaving Merseyside in search of first-team football.
However, with Liverpool unwilling to match the Championship side's eight-million pound valuation, Reading have made a late attempt to secure Ince's services.
The Stockport-born winger, who has scored 15 goals in 26 appearances in the second tier this season, could become Reading's fourth January signing.
