Rodgers hails inspirational Gerrard

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has praised Steven Gerrard ahead of the midfielder's landmark 100th cap for England.
The 32-year-old recently passed the 600-game mark for his club side and is poised to reach another milestone for the Three Lions - in a friendly against Sweden on Wednesday - after overcoming a knock picked up in the 1-1 draw at Chelsea in the English Premier League.
And Rodgers hailed his captain's achievement, expressing delight at having the opportunity to work closely with the Reds skipper.
"I watched him from the outside for a long time, but to actually work with him day to day, you realise he's great player and an even better man," he told the club's official website.
"The way he conducts himself on and off the field, he has real old-school values and ethics. He never has a lazy day. He comes in every day to work hard and is a real inspiration to the young players at the club.
"He's still got a few years left in him yet. He's been outstanding, a real good man, and hopefully he can keep performing.
"He's a wonderful role model and he's just made his 600th appearance for Liverpool which is absolutely incredible."
