Rodriguez keen for Falcao arrival
New Monaco recruit James Rodriguez believes that the potential arrival of Radamel Falcao would be a boost for the club.
The principality side romped to the Ligue 2 title this season, sparking a flurry of transfer activity and rumour, including the 70 million euro signing of Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho from Porto.
Falcao is expected to follow, apparently rejecting advances from the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid to sign a lucrative deal at the Stade Louis II.
The winger played alongside Falcao during his time at Porto, as well as for the Colombian national team, and he told El Tiempo he would be delighted to do so again in Ligue 1 next season.
"Obviously (it's good). I had already played with him and now we're going to be together (it) will be good too," Rodriguez said.
"I am proud to be with a friend and hope to get big things.
"You get to where you want to win something, we can get good things there."
The club have also been linked with a move for Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes as Claudio Ranieri's men prepare for a return to French football's top-flight.
