Russian Premier League leaders Zenit widened the gap at the top of the table to five points with a 3-0 away win over Tom Tomsk.

Hulk opened the scoring for the visitors in the 18th minute, before Danny doubled the advantage four minutes before the break.

Axel Witsel then rounded off the scoring in the 64th minute as Zenit claimed their sixth successive league win.

Their lead at the top was stretched as both Lokomotiv Moscow and Spartak Moscow were held to draws.

Spartak drew 0-0 at home with Terek Grozny, while Lokomotiv came from two down to finish 2-2 at Krylya Sovetov.

Sergey Kornilenko's penalty put the hosts in front in the 18th minute, before he doubled his tally six minutes before the break.

Dame N'Doye pulled one back for Lokomotiv two minutes into the second half before Taras Mykhalyk's equaliser in the 64th minute extended the visitors' unbeaten run to five matches.

Krasnodar moved up to fourth with a 2-0 away success over struggling Ural.

Joaozinho scored the first five minutes after half-time before Mauricio Pereyra made it two in the 64th minute to leave Ural without a win in eight games.

That result allowed Krasnodar to jump above CSKA Moscow, who went down 2-0 at home to Dinamo Moscow.

Christian Noboa put the visitors ahead in the 57th minute before Aleksandr Kokorin made the game safe a minute from time.

Bottom club Anzhi's woes continued as they were trounced 5-1 at Rubin Kazan.

Wakaso Mubarak gave the home side the lead in the 11th minute before Alexander Ryazantsev added to the advantage on the half-hour mark.

Ruslan Mukhametshin made it three with 20 minutes to go, before Islamnur Abdulavov pulled one back for the beleaguered visitors in the 85th minute.

A Sardar Azmoun strike and a Roman Eremenko penalty in stoppage time rounded off a resounding victory for the hosts as Anzhi remain bottom of the league without a win.

Rostov's winless run was extended to seven games as they drew 2-2 at Kuban Krasnodar.

Artem Dzyuba put Rostov ahead in the 19th minute, only to see Ibrahima Balde level the scores three minutes after the break.

Dzyuba then gave his side the lead for a second time in the 51st minute, before Djibril Cisse ensured the points would be shared with a 72nd-minute equaliser.

Elsewhere, two penalties from Georgi Peev in the 44th and 56th minutes gave Amkar Perm a 2-0 win away at Volga.
