Saviola anticipating tough Porto encounter
Dec 21, 2012 3:36 PM GMT
Javier Saviola has admitted that Porto will be a tough opponent for his Malaga side in the last 16 of the Champions League.
The Andalusians topped a group containing AC Milan in the initial phase of the competition, while the Portuguese champions were beaten to first place by Paris Saint-Germain.
However, the former Barcelona and Real Madrid attacker has warned his team-mates that they will do well to reach the quarter-finals.
"Porto will be a complicated and tough opponent. I played against them during my time at Benfica and I know how good they are," the Argentine said.
"On an individual level they have had some fantastic players in recent history like (Radamel) Falcao and Lucho Gonzalez. But now there are other players that are maintaining that quality and that level of play."
The first leg of the clash will be played in Portugal on February 19, with the return at La Rosaleda coming on March 13.
