Sirigu expects 'tense' affair with Toulouse
Jan 30, 2013 11:24 PM GMT
Paris Saint Germain goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu knows beating Toulouse on Friday will not be easy.
The Ligue 1 table-toppers travel to Toulouse for the clash just over a week after beating the same side 3-1 in the Coupe de France.
Toulouse are in good form in Ligue 1 though, unbeaten in their last four, and will present a stern challenge to PSG according to Sirigu.
"It's going to be tense," said the Italian shot-stopper.
"It's a team we know well. They can give us a hard time. They have good players. They play spectacular football, in my opinion, one of the finest in Ligue 1. We have to take this team seriously even if we won against them in the Coupe de France.
"We had to play a very good game that day. We have to be careful. We have to take them seriously as they have very good forwards who can run into space and place us in serious difficulty."
PSG have the best defence in Ligue 1, having let in just 12 goals in 22 fixtures.
In their three league matches in 2012, they are yet to concede and Sirigu is happy with the way his defence is working.
"Since the start of the new year, we have only conceded a few goals," he said.
"I think we work well defensively. Conceding a goal can happen. But I think we are now a solid team who try to place the opponent in difficulty. "
