SPL wrap: Inverness climb to second
Inverness moved up to second and denied Aberdeen the chance to go top of the Scottish Premier League with a 3-2 win on Tuesday.
The visitors took the lead through Billy McKay in the first half but a quick-fire double from Josh Magennis - the second a neat chip - fired Aberdeen back into the lead within five minutes of the second half.
Gary Warren levelled it at 2-2 eight minutes later before McKay bagged his second and the winner in the 82nd minute.
Inverness drew level with Celtic on points with the win and leapfrogged Aberdeen into second place.
Motherwell continued their impressive form away from home with a 3-2 win over Dundee United at Tannadice.
Chris Humphrey put Motherwell 2-0 up inside 10 minutes with a 20-yard drive shortly after Michael Higdon had given them an early lead.
Jon Daly pulled a goal back for United on 37 minutes but John Rankin's volley in the second half was the closest they would come to an equaliser.
The three points move Motherwell up to fourth on 24 points, one behind Celtic who have a game in hand.
Struggling Ross County and St Mirren shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
