Supersport United have signed striker Dino Ndlovu on loan for the rest of the season from Maccabi Haifa.
The talented striker has struggled to play regular football in Israel this season and it was reported lately that he was starting to be not in good terms with the fans as they were losing pertinence on him due to his lack of form at the club.
The Pretoria-based side have also confirmed that they have an option of converting a loan deal to a permanent deal which means the former Bloemfontein Celtic and Mamelodi Sundowns striker might stay at Matsatsantsa A Pitori beyond his loan spell.
Supersport United coach Cavin Johnson says they were looking to add firepower in their attack and he is delighted that they have acquired the service of 23-year old striker. “We wanted to try and add different options to our attacking threat and Dino will certainly do that,” said the former Platinum Stars coach.
“He is someone who if you get him in the right areas will make the most of opportunities that come his way because he’s natural goal-scorer. There were several clubs both here and abroad who were interested in taking him on loan but I am happy he has chosen us.”
Dino Ndlovu, who made 21 appearance and scored 10 times in 2012/2013 season for Israel giants Maccabi Haifa, as well as playing in the Uefa Europe League, told Supersport United official club website that he is happy to be back home.
“I am really happy with the move. I’ve been trying to get a loan move for a while from Israel and my agent was speaking to various teams, but Supersport United showed the highest commitment to bring me home.
“I am very happy to be here. At my age I played few games last year and some this year but I never really played consistently in the team so we had a talk and agreed I had to get out and play regular Football so hopefully I can do that here,” concluded the Klerksdorp-born player
