QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt and Arsenal forward Marouane Chamakh have been left out of Morocco's squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Taarabt has been in brilliant form for Harry Redknapp's side and news of his omission will be welcomed in west London as QPR vie for Premier League survival following a disastrous start to the season.
Chamakh has struggled for game time with the Gunners and has been linked with a January move away from the Emirates Stadium.
Premier League players who have been called up are Aston Villa midfielder Karim El Ahmadi and Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi.
The tournament takes place from January 19 to February 10 in South Africa. Morocco squad:
