Andre Villas-Boas has hit back at Harry Redknapp over the QPR boss' recent claim that 'only a real dope' could fail at Chelsea.
The current Tottenham manager was sacked by the west London club halfway through last season, with Roberto Di Matteo going on to lift the Champions League and FA Cup as his successor.
Upon being informed of the jibe from the 65-year-old ahead of the managers going toe-to-toe this weekend, Villas-Boas sent his own barb at Redknapp.
"Only if you manage the club can you find out. You have to be able to access a club like that to experience it," he told reporters.
"It's a different type of club. You have to experience it and then you have to survive in it."
The former Porto coach went on to dismiss further questions regarding the Englishman, saying: "No. I have never spoken to him."
