Wenger monitoring Zaha progress
Nov 27, 2012 12:25 PM GMT
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed his club are monitoring Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha for a possible move to the Emirates.
Responding to recent speculation linking the Gunners with the winger, Wenger said that the north London club had been looking at Zaha, but added: "He (Zaha) is not more on the list than anybody else."
Zaha, who made his England debut in this month's friendly against Sweden, has been an integral part of Palace's impressive run in the Championshp this term, which sees Ian Holloway's side sitting in second place on the standings.
The 20-year-old has been linked with a string of top-flight clubs, including Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, and is expected to depart Selhurst Park during the January transfer window.
Wenger was also coy on Theo Walcott's prolonged contract negotiations, claiming the club have made no progress in trying to extend the England winger's current contract, which expires at the end of the season.
Walcott is expected to return for Wednesday's Premier League clash at Everton after overcoming a shoulder problem.
