3. No. 4: Wes Welker
Welker has long been a target hog that fantasy owners have clamored for in PPR leagues. As Tom Brady’s favorite receiver, Welker has piled up five seasons of over 110 receptions since 2007 and has led many fantasy teams to the Week 16 promise land. Now, with a change of scenery for our dear friend Wes, he becomes the member of this Top 10 list most likely to see a decrease in targets. Now a member of Peyton Manning’s offense in Denver, Welker finds himself in a receiving group with the likes of Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas, who combined for 264 targets themselves in 2012. Decker will most likely see a decrease in pass catching opportunities, but Thomas is entrenched as the big dog in Denver’s air attack. There won’t be a shortage of targets this season for the Broncos, as their offense will be among the league’s best, but Welker won’t sniff the 175 targets he received last season.
