Drew Pearson

The name says it all: Mr. Clutch. Perhaps no other player in league history has his name attached to so many game-winning catches. Everyone knows about the hail mary from 1975 that Vikings fans are still fuming over today. But Pearson also turned a short pass into an 83-yard touchdown for a 1973 playoff victory over the Rams, and was on the receiving end of Clint “The Mad Bomber” Longley’s Thanksgiving Day come-from-behind win over the Redskins with an injured Roger Staubach out of the game.

Pearson nearly negated “The Catch” in the 1981 NFC Championship game, but a game-saving one-handed tackle by the 49ers Eric Wright brought Pearson down, and Danny White fumbled away the game on the next play.

Much like Hayes, Pearson’s place in the Ring of Honor was a long time coming. Pearson was added to the Ring in 2011, but is still awaiting induction into the Hall of Fame.
