There was a lot of concern about Georgia’s defense entering the season with so many players off to the NFL.
Gone are the likes of Jarvis Jones, Alec Ogletree, John Jenkins and Bacarri Rambo, among others.
However, as defensive end Ray Drew says, there’s a lot returning to the Bulldogs.
“We’re coming in with the mindset to do what we’ve been coached to do,” Drew said. “A lot of people outside of the program see the people that we lost, but they don’t see what’s behind those people. You have people that prepared and did the exact same thing every day that Jarvis Jones did or Kwame Geathers or John Jenkins. But their name wasn’t in the light because they were behind such great players.”
Drew came out of high school as a highly-touted player, as did multiple others on defense, including Jordan Jenkins and Amarlo Herrera.
