South Carolina has given Georgia trouble the last few years.
While losses to the Gamecocks haven't mattered the last two years as the Bulldogs have made the SEC title game, Georgia can't expect for South Carolina to pick up two losses during SEC play every year.
In 2012, South Carolina lost to Florida and LSU, while 2011 saw them lose to Auburn and Arkansas.
This year, South Carolina has Arkansas and Mississippi State as its cross-over games. Steve Spurrier will no longer be allowed to complain about Georgia's easier schedule since Georgia has to face LSU this year.
Regardless of those games, Georgia and South Carolina's game is important because it's the first SEC game for both. A win secures an early edge as the other will have to win out and hope for help just to make it to the SEC title game.
