Allegri anticipating tough Juventus clash
Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is expecting to face a reaction from Juventus after their midweek draw with Galatasaray.
Juventus were held 2-2 by the Turkish side in the UEFA Champions League and Allegri expects the criticism they received following that performance to spur them on against Milan on Sunday.
Milan also could only draw in midweek but their last-gasp equaliser against Ajax will have lifted their spirits rather than left them feeling deflated.
However, Allegri knows that his side will have to perform better in Turin if they want to continue a run of three unbeaten games in all competitions.
"Tomorrow's match will be very difficult, because Juventus will be much more motivated than usual after they were criticised for their draw against Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League," he said.
"I believe that criticism was not fair because Juventus delivered a good performance and Galatasaray shot at goal only a couple of times. Therefore, Juventus deserved much more from the game.
"As usual, the analysis is only based on the final result."
Milan have not won any of their last four visits to Turin in all competitions and given his side have yet to win away from home in the league this season Allegri admits they face a tough challenge.
"It's the last match of an important and difficult series of matches," he added. "We've had very few players available and I couldn't let some players take a deserved break.
"Tomorrow we have to produce another great effort and arrive in Turin ready to play an intense, important and technical match. It won't be easy at all."
Milan will be without talisman Mario Balotelli as the striker serves the final game of his three-match suspension following his red card against Napoli.
