Andrew Dalton is a quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals. As a rookie in 2011, Dalton was selected to the Pro Bowl.
Dalton was born on October 29, 1987 in Katy Texas. He attended Katy High School where he threw 42 touchdown passes in his senior year. The Houston Chronicle named Dalton the Greater Houston Area Offensive Player of the Year. After a productive senior season he committed to Texas Christian University.

After a redshirt freshman year, Dalton won a quarterback competition against teammate Marcus Jackson in 2007. He earned and retained his starting job over four years at TCU. He managed to increase his throwing accuracy every year, vastly improving his touchdown to interception ratio.
In 2010 he had the best pass completion percentage in the Mountain West Conference. He also earned MWC Offensive Player of the Year honors. His throwing accuracy was recognized across the NCAA when he received some votes in the Heisman voting. Dalton completed his college career throwing for more than 10,000 yards and a completion percentage of 61.7 percent. He concluded his college career as the MVP in a Rose Bowl victory over Wisconsin.
The Cincinnati Bengals drafted Dalton in the second round of the 2011 draft. Former Bengals starting quarterback Carson Palmer asked to be released or traded which opened the opportunity for Dalton to start for the Bengals as a rookie.
Dalton helped lead the Bengals back into the playoffs after a poor 4-12 season with QB Palmer in the previous year. He received several offensive rookie and offensive player honors validating his Pro Bowl selection. Dalton has led the team to the playoffs in each of his three seasons in Cincinnati but has yet to win a playoff game.
