Inter defender Hugo Campagnaro is not getting carried away despite his side's impressive start to the season.
Walter Mazzarri's men are unbeaten in Serie A this season and have conceded just three goals from their six domestic games.
After their 1-1 draw with champions Juventus, Mazzarri guided his charges to a 7-0 victory over Sassuolo and a 2-1 success against Fiorentina.
However, Campagnaro knows that Inter have plenty of work to do if they are to improve on their ninth-place finish last season.
"The championship is very long and I think it is premature to say whether we can fight for the Scudetto or not," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"A lot of people say that championships are won in the spring, so we’ll need to keep giving our all and then seeing what position we are in at that time."
Campagnaro, a close-season acquisition from Mazzarri's former club Napoli, has made five appearances for his new employers since arriving.
He claims it is too early to tell how good Inter can become.
"I'm curious to see what is our true dimension, but it is too soon to be making proclamations," he added.
"We'll have to see further down the line.
"Up until now, we have shown that we can play against anyone – even with those who ended last season at the top of the table.
"We have some excellent players in the squad and I'm sure we will continue to give 100 per cent until the very end."
