Cecil Shorts Has A Sprained Sternoclavicular Joint

The Jacksonville Jaguars attempt to avoid the ridiculous spread set by Vegas oddsmakers is going to be a little more difficult after Cecil Shorts exited the game with a shoulder sprain. He has been officially ruled out for the rest of the game, according to John Oehser of Jaguars.com.
Shorts finishes the day without a single catch in the game, and this is certainly a major blow to their offense.
The Jaguars played well against the Broncos in the first half, scoring 12 points in the second quarter to end the first half trailing by only two. Their defense has surprisingly been able to keep Manning in check thus far. Perhaps the record-setting spread motivated them to finally show up and compete.
There are some fears that Shorts has a separated shoulder, which would keep him out of action for at least a week. If that’s the case, Justin Blackmon will be leaned on heavily in the passing game.
Update: Shorts has a sprained sternoclavicular joint, and his status for Week 7 is in doubt.
