Chelsea finally seal Schurrle deal
Jun 13, 2013 7:29 PM EST
Chelsea have announced they have agreed transfer terms for Andre Schurrle with Bayer Leverkusen.
The London club have been chasing the 22-year-old striker for months, but the breakthrough, subject to personal terms and a medical, signifies new manager Jose Mourinho's first signing since returning to the club.
The Germany international moves to the Premier League for a fee reported to be around 18 million pounds.
Schurrle netted 14 goals for Leverkusen in all competitions last season and his Chelsea switch was believed to have been delayed after his parent club requested Kevin De Bruyne as part of the deal, although no deal was able to be reached.
