Claudio Marchisio



Claudio Marchisio was born in Turin, Italy on 19 January 1986. A versatile player, he is predominantly a box-to-box central midfielder, but is also able to play out wide, or in a holding midfield role. Known for his tenacity, hard tackling, dribbling, work rate and tendency to shoot from long range, his playing style has drawn comparisons with the legendary Italian midfielder, Marco Tardelli.

A product of the Juventus youth academy, Marchisio first joined the club in 1993 and slowly worked his way through the ranks.
