Auburn added another member to the Tigers' signing class of 2014. 3-star cornerback (24/7Sports) Joseph Turner, who visited Auburn on Wednesday and will join Gus Malzahn's program.
Turner is a tall corner standing at 6'2, 190 lbs. and played at the College of San Mateo. He's a 3-star prospect that at one time was committed to Washington State.
Turner was supposed to be PAC-12 bound and enroll at Washington State mid-year, but the reason the 12th best JUCO corner (24/7Sports) nationally did not - he came up one academic class short.
Washington State moved on in their recruitment of Turner, mis-communication sparked Joseph to look elsewhere. Turner then had a pair of SEC schools interested in him and the JUCO prospect chose Auburn over Texas A&M.
Auburn did sign five other defensive backs in Malzahn's 2014 class, one in which is Kalavaraz Bessent, a corner back. Bessent was arrested over the weekend.
