ESPN seems like they are pulling out all the stops for the SEC Network, paying the likes of Tim Tebow and Brent Musburger.
Recently they released a short video for every SEC school (see below for Alabama's).
Seems reasonable that an ESPN-backed channel featuring SEC sports would have a market. But there have been mixed results for these singular-conference channels. Seems like the Big Ten is doing well, but overall it's been a mixed bag.
In 10 years, will we view these as genius ideas or will they end up in the scrap heap because they are unable to compete outside of a few Saturdays in the fall?
