The 2014-15 EPL season is only weeks away and after the World Cup I am getting ready to enjoy some more fantastic football action. Three new teams have entered the EPL after some long absences from top flight football action. With the departure of Norwich City, Cardiff City and also Fulham it left space for new teams to try their luck in the worlds most exciting league.
Burnley, Queens Park Rangers & Leicester City are prepared to make their impact in the new season

Leicester City have finally got themselves back into the Premier League after a 10 year absence. They managed to finish top of the Championship and secure their place back in the top flight of English football with a win over Sheffield Wednesday and with QPR and Derby County both losing their matches was enough to secure the East Midlands side promotion to the EPL Leicester finished the League with a commanding 102 points and only losing 6 matches of the 46 played. They also scored 83 goals and had the best goal difference beating their closest rivals Burnley with a five goal difference. David Nugent and Jamie Vardie both led the way for the club scoring a total of 36 goals for the season. Also they will be sporting players like Upson, Konchesky and Albrighton all with some Premier League experience and they have also brought in Jack Barmby, Ben Hamer and Leonardo Ulloa to strengthen their squad for the new season. Though it will be a tough ask for the Foxes to remain in the top flight and I believe they will need to try and secure an experienced striker and a strong holding midfielder to give themselves a better chance.

Burnley managed to secure their return to the top flight finishing second in the Football League Championship division and securing a spot in the EPL. They finished second behind Leicester City and secured their promotion to the top flight with a victory over Wigan Athletic. They finished 8 points clear of the play-off spot and are now ready for the 53rd appearance in the top division. Their last appearance in the EPL wasn't the best as they were relegated after only one season so the Clarets will be looking to improve on their last attempt. Burnley have brought in Kightly from Stoke City, Taylor from West Ham and also Steven Reid from West Bromwich Albion to bolster their squad and also their chances to remain in the EPL for more than one season. I believe that they will have a good chance and just might also surprise a few teams too.

Burnley will look to erase the memory of their last spell in the EPL and look to stay up for more than one season

The final team to get promoted is Queens Park Rangers or QPR as they are known. They did it the tough way, they finished 4th in the league and then had to go through the play-offs and defeat both Wigan Athletic and then Derby County who originally finished in third spot. Finishing five points behind Derby County they managed to defeat Wigan Athletic 2-1 in the second match of the first round of the play-off game after drawing 0-0 in their first match. Then in the late minutes of their match against Derby County, Bobby Zamora would secure promotion with a 90th minute goal and see his team return to the top flight after a one year absence. This campaign they will be ready and with players like Richard Dunne, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Jermaine Jenas they will be a tough team for any opposition. Also to add to their squad they have added Rio Ferdinand and Steven Caulker to bolster their defensive strength. A team definitely to watch out for and I also believe they will be another side that will look to remain more than just one season in the EPL.

How will these new teams hold up in the top flight? Will they battle or will they crumble and fall?

Ciao for now readers
