Jon Gruden Back On Rocky Top For QB Camp

Jun 06, 2014 11:37 PM EST

It's fitting that 86 days before the start of the Vols' 2014 season begins, that Jon Gruden is on Tennessee's campus.

The number 86 not only represents the number days left until Tennessee takes on Utah State August 31, but the number 86 also symbolizes the year Gruden began his coaching career - at Tennessee.

The '86 Vols were Liberty Bowl champs, coached by Hall-of-Famer Johnny Majors. The entire coaching staff was stacked that included numerous future head coaches: Walt Harris, Ron Zook, David Cutcliffe, Phillip Fulmer, Jon Gruden, Dick Bumpas, Gerald Brown and Kippy Brown.
