Costa Rican club Herediano got off to the perfect start in the CONCACAF Champions League with a 6-1 rout of Valencia on Thursday.
Haiti's Valencia were on the end of first-half goals from Herediano's Ismael Gomez and Yendrick Ruiz, with the demolition continuing in the second half.
Victor Nunez Rodriguez, Jose Sanchez and Anllel Porras all scored, the latter four minutes after coming on as a substitute, with the sixth an own goal.
