Deportivo Saprissa remain unbeaten in the Costa Rican Primera Division after a 1-0 win over Perez Zeledon.

Saprissa now have seven wins and four draws from 11 games and hold a two-point advantage over Herediano, who triumphed 2-0 against Uruguay.

Jorge Arias and Verny Scott struck in the second-half as Herediano extended their unbeaten run in the league to five games.

With the score goalless approaching half-time, Belen Siglo struck twice in the shadows of the break through Allan Duarte and Anibal Arrieta to establish a two-goal lead.

Ricardo Blanco's 54th minute penalty sealed victory with Belen Siglo snapped a streak of 12 league games without a win.

In other matches, Cartagines won 2-1 at UCR, Limon drew 1-1 with Santos de Guapiles and Carmelita eclipsed Alajuelense 1-0.
