Dani Alves



Daniel Alves da Silva, commonly known as Dani Alves, was born in Juazeiro, Bahia on 6 May 1983. A Brazilian international right back, who is primarily known for the attacking threat he poses to opponents, he is widely considered to be one of the best full backs of his generation.

Alves made his professional debut for local side Esporte Clube Bahia in 2001 and quickly impressed with his performances. He attracted the attention of Sevilla and moved to the La Liga club in 2002, initially on loan. The deal became permanent in 2003 and Alves became a key member of the team that enjoyed significant success in the years that followed, helping the side to consecutive UEFA Cup wins in 2005–06 and 2006–07, as well as a Copa del Rey win in 2006–07.
