Ed Sheahin is a contributing writer for Football.com covering the Maryland Terrapins and Washington Redskins.

Sheahin, a former CBSSports.com Washington Redskins Rapid Reporter, brings five years of professional sports coverage to an emerging giant.  In addition to his Redskins coverage, Ed has covered the Maryland Terrapins (football/basketball) and the CAA conference (football/basketball) as an editor, writer, and photographer.

On Friday nights in the fall, Ed covers Maryland high school football games for the pleasure and purity of the sport. Ed's greatest achievements covering sports include being the first person on the field at FedEx to greet Robert Griffin in his first preseason game vs. the Colts and Andrew Luck in 2012, photographing President Obama when he attended a Towson Tigers basketball game in 2010, and covering his childhood idol on daily basis, Jim Zorn, as the Redskins' head coach in 2009.
