The Ivorian striker opened the scoring in the 19th minute before adding two more goals in the second half, while Marco van Ginkel netted a brace of his own for the visitors. Lerin Duarte, Geoffrey Castillion and Ninos Gouriye found the net for Heracles, who had Thomas Bruns sent off for a second bookable offence in the closing stages.
Vitesse are five points behind leaders PSV Eindhoven, who have a game in hand against Feyenoord on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Marcel Seip struck the decisive goal in VVV-Venlo's 1-0 win over RKC Waalwijk.
