Bio

Eric Striker has played in all 26 games during his short Oklahoma Sooners career, including 13 starts in 2013. While there was some question as to what position he would play in college (safety or outside linebacker), Striker has settled in at linebacker quite nicely, recording 50 tackles and 6.5 sacks in 2013, which earned him second-team All-Big 12 honors from league coaches. He is capable of big games, as evidenced by his three sack performance against Alabama in the Sugar Bowl. Has the ability to take over a game, something the Sooners would like to see more of in 2014.

High School

Earned four-star recruit ranking after a stellar career at Armwood High School in Seffner, Fla. As a senior, he recorded 109 tackles, 11 sacks and 18 tackles for loss. His junior campaign included 16 sacks and 125 total tackles. Set the Armwood career sack record with 42 and earned All-American honors as a senior.

College

Played in all 13 games as a true freshman in 2012, including a six tackle outing against Kansas Oct. 20. In 2013, his talent was too good to keep on the bench. He would start all 13 games for the sooners and record 50 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and three passes broken up. The Sporting News named him to the Big 12 first team.
