Eric Winston has finally found a home after being cut by the Kansas City Chiefs. The offensive tackle has flirted with a number of teams throughout free agency, and the Arizona Cardinals have put a one-year offer on the table that’s expected to be signed at some point today, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
While Winston was cut in back-to-back years, he’s a solid addition to the Cardinals’ poor offensive line. Winston was undoubtedly the best offensive tackle left in free agency, and his presence should immediately improve the unit. They’re still one of the weaker lines in the league, but Winston is an upgrade nonetheless.
Carson Palmer can rest a bit easier knowing Winston will save him from taking a few extra hits this year, and Rashard Mendenhall might find a few extra holes to run through with Winston blocking along the right side of the line.
