The Auburn Tigers took a lot of momentum from their appearance in the BCS Championship Game and used it in recruiting, finishing eighth in the Scout rankings.
Auburn pulled in four five-star players, including the only five-star junior college player in wide receiver D'haquille Williams. The Tigers also got offensive guard Braden Smith (No. 1), middle linebacker Tre Williams (No. 2) and running back Racean Thomas (No. 3).
Three four-star defensive ends also joined the fray, as well as three four-star cornerbacks.
Gus Malzahn saw the need to beef up the defense a little, especially after allowing 76 points in the last two games.
Auburn made some headway with this class and looks to continue to challenge Alabama and LSU in the future.
