Five Breakout Players For LSU In 2014

No. 4: Travin Dural

If you recognize the name Travin Dural, it is probably because you caught the end of the Arkansas game last year. Dural caught the winning touchdown against the Razorbacks, but other than that, was not utilized very much in the offense. That is not a knock on Dural, LSU just happened to have some guys named Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham Jr., Kadron Boone and James Wright. All of them have left so there will be new names at wide receiver this season.

This is where Dural steps in as the top receiver on the depth chart. Dural only caught seven passes last season, but he will be targeted much more this year. With a new quarterback and receiving corps, Dural will be relied upon as a safety net and play-maker for this young LSU offense.

Dural does not have elite speed or hands, but overall, he is very good with exceptional route-running ability and has a knack for finding the open space. He will be the go-to receiver this year so expect to hear "and Dural gets the first down" a lot.
