Five Breakout Players For LSU In 2014

No. 3: Danielle Hunter

Now, some of you may not consider Danielle Hunter a 2014 breakout star since he had a significant role on the defensive line last season, but Hunter is going to be one of the best pass rushers in the country and will be recognized as such.

Hunter finished second in a couple of categories among defensive linemen last season, but he will be atop the defensive ends this season. I have no idea what he did during the offseason, but he is the best physical specimen on this LSU team, by far. He is a 6-foot-6, 245-pound freak who runs a sub-4.6 40. Does that remind anyone of a certain Gamecock from last year?

Even if he isn't quite Jadeveon Clowney, Hunter is a freak of nature who is going to make a lot of young SEC quarterbacks feel very uncomfortable in the pocket. With a vicious swim move and bull rush, he can get in the backfield with ease and drop into coverage with his athleticism.

Hunter is the truth and he will be an absolute star in 2014.
