Five Concerns The Pitt Panthers Face In 2014

2. Quarterback

Pitt's first area of concern is under center.

With the departure of graduating quarterback Tom Savage, the Panthers will have to find a replacement.

Panthers fans saw a glimpse of Chad Voytik last year. Voytik, who is presumed to be named starting quarterback this year, will have to get comfortable in his new position and lead a team that has young talent.

The Panthers haven't had a real leader under center since Tyler Palko was quarterback. In saying this, Voytik needs to realize what is at stake here for the Panthers. They will be looking to win with young talent and he must provide that spark to put all the pieces together. He needs to get comfortable with Boyd as well, since the star receiver will be Pitt's main source of production on offense.
