The New York Giants just can’t seem to stay healthy. They’ve been plagued by injuries this season, and they just put CB Aaron Ross on injured reserve with a back injury that will end his season early.
Ross originally sustained the back injury in the Giants’ Week 4 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, and he was expected to miss several weeks of action. However, he was expected to eventually return to the lineup.
The Giants likely couldn’t afford to not have depth at the cornerback position, and with Ross’ poor play through four weeks, it’s not completely surprising that they opted to move on. With the team currently in an 0-4 hole and a plethora of players succumbing to injuries, they need every healthy body they can afford right now.
Will Hill his returning to the lineup after coming off of his suspension, and the team also elevated CB Charles James from their practice squad to take Ross’ place.
