"Things look good" for Ole Miss linebacker Serderius Bryant, carted off the field on a gurney after an apparent concussion Saturday against Texas A&M.
Coach Hugh Freeze texted that update to the Jackson Clarion-Ledger on Sunday.
Bryant collided with Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel in the fourth quarter, the crown of his helmet slamming into Manziel's torso. Bryant lay motionless for several minutes as trainers immobilized him on a stretcher. Reports indicate he was able to give a thumb's up and told his mom he was OK. Bryant stayed overnight in a hospital for observation.
The linebacker leads Ole Miss in tackles with 55, which also places him third in the SEC, and tackles for loss. It isn't clear whether Bryant will play again this season.
