Greg Hardy is a defensive end for the Carolina Panthers. In 2013, Hardy was named a member of the Associated Press Second-Team All-Pro and to the Pro-Bowl after recording a career-high 15 sacks.
Hardy was born on July 28, 1988 in Millington, Tennessee. After playing with offensive linemen Michael Oher in both high school and college, Hardy was considered the 30th-best weakside defensive end in the nation by Rivals.com.

After a solid freshman season (three sacks and 49 tackles), Hardy followed it up with 10 sacks. This total was good enough for second in the SEC. He added 18.5 tackles for loss that season also. Offensively, Hardy had two receiving TDs.
As a junior, he dealt with some injury problems, but finished with 8.5 sacks in nine games, adding one interception.
Instead of leaving for the NFL, Hardy returned to Ole Miss, but dealt with more injury problems.
His 26 career sacks ranked third all-time in the conference since 2005.
Due to injury concerns, Hardy fell to the Panthers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
Hardy started all 16 games in his second season, but recorded only four sacks. In 2012, Hardy recorded his first of back-to-back seasons with double-digit sacks. He was third in the NFL with 15 sacks in the 2013.
Before becoming a free agent in 2014, Carolina used their franchise tag on Hardy, keeping him in Carolina for at least one more season.
