Gundogan warns against complacency

Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Gundogan has preached the importance of humility as they aim to reach the UEFA Champions League final.

Dortmund are in a commanding position following their 4-1 win over Real Madrid in the first leg of their semi-final, but Gundogan, who played a key role in that demolition of the Spanish giants, is well aware the task is far from complete as they get set to do battle with Jose Mourinho's men at the Bernabeu.

He told Kicker: "We are in a very, very good position, but at home, Real will always be capable of winning 3-0.

"It will certainly not be easy for Real, but we'd be well advised to not talk about the final before the game."

Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the first leg but was kept quiet for much of the game and the Portuguese has pledged to make more of an impact on Tuesday.

"On Tuesday, I will do my talking on the pitch," said Ronaldo.

However, Germany international Gundogan is determined to ensure the former Manchester United man cuts a frustrated figure again throughout Tuesday's clash.

He added: "Ronaldo will know that it will be very difficult against us. We will give it our all so that Ronaldo will be as frustrated after the game as he was last week in Dortmund.

"He can give an answer, but not an answer that will allow Real to make it to the final."
