After two slow seasons to start his career, Douglas put together back-to-back 70-plus reception seasons with 1,265 and 1,159 receiving yards, respectively. He led the Big East Conference in receiving yards both of those years. He led the conference in yards as a junior and second in yards as a senior.
His 2,881 career receiving yards is fourth all-time in the conference.
Douglas was drafted by the Falcons in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft. As a rookie he was mostly used as a punt returner. He returned a punt 61 yards for a TD that season.
Until the 2013 NFL Season, Douglas’ career-high was 498 receiving yards on 39 receptions. With both Roddy White and Julio Jones dealing with injuries, Douglas put together a career year. He made a career-high 11 starts and caught 85 passes for 1,067 yards and two TDs.
