Houston Loses During Portland Visit
Apr. 08, 2013 11:03 AM EST
It looks like Ryan Johnson was a good offseason acquisition for the Portland Timbers. Houston let Johnson score twice over the course of the game and those happened to be the only goals during the 90 minute matchup. Johnson scored one at the 55th minute to make the game's first goal. He later followed up with his second goal of the game at the 73rd minute when he shot one passed Tally Hall into the top right corner of the goal. By the end of the game the score was 2-0 and the Houston Dynamo walked out of the stadium with their second road loss of the season. Adam Moffat also left in the second half after colliding with Diego Chara.
If there was any good news for the Houston Dynamo it is the exciting news of Omar Cummings' return. Cummings had an accurate shot at the 90th minute that was deflected by the Portland Timbers' goal keeper Donovan Ricketts. Cummings is a force to be reckoned with and will be in the spotlight this weekend during Houston's next home game.
