In most 2012 drafts, Larry Fitzgerald was the third wide receiver off the board. In most 2012 leagues, Larry Fitzgerald finished as the 41st-ranked wide receiver at the end of the season. Granted, that wasn’t all Fitzgerald’s fault (hello Kevin Kolb, Ryan Lindley, and John Skelton), but 41st isn’t quite what fantasy owners were expecting out of what was likely their first wide receiver selected. Going into 2013, Fitzgerald will see a playcalling upgrade as Bruce Arians brings his downfield passing game to Arizona and should (keyword: should) see a quarterbacking upgrade, as Carson Palmer brings his veteran game to the desert. Fitzgerald hasn’t fallen too far in fantasy owners’ minds as he’s still been going in the fourth or fifth round of most mock drafts I’ve done so far, but the fact that he only had four touchdowns and two 100-yard games last season is still a bitter taste in many owners’ mouths. Will Fitzgerald return to his 2007-2009 form in 2013, or is his age (he’ll be 30 by the time the season starts) and shoddy supporting cast finally catching up to him? I’ll play the role the got cut out of Reservoir Dogs (Mr. Switzerland) here, but what do you think: will Larry Fitzgerald be a sleeper or a bust in 2013?
