James is a freelance journalist with the Huffington Post, Epoch Times and other media outlets. His primary focus is SMAC—Social, Mobile, Analytics, Cloud—and the next wave of technology. As a founder of a mobile enterprise startup in Cloudnician he has navigated the next paradigm shift of society and sees how it impacts the consumer, worker, and technologist.
Over the past five years he has covered diverse stories from the limited resources in the 21st century (water), the runaway Gulf Oil Spill, and clean energy, to technology-driven articles on big data, mobility, IT security, Internet of Things (sensors, devices), and cloud computing. He relates how technology will revolutionize the way we work, engage, and participate in sports, while seek new insights and ways to be entertained at live events.
With a former career in construction management on projects of scale and complexity in New York City, James wrote dozens of technical reports, thousands of change orders, and several requests for proposals. At his startup, he leads all brand, marketing, and writing campaigns, including infographics—the new way to mash up images, numbers and words on a storyboard.
