The Chicago Bears, currently in a close contest with Washington, will have to go for a win without QB Jay Cutler. He left the game with a groin injury after being sacked by Washington DE Chris Baker in the second quarter.
The team announced via Twitter that Cutler wil not return to the game, and it certainly hurts their chances of coming from behind to beat the 'Skins. Josh McCown took Cutler's place behind center, and he offers a significant downgrade at the quarterback position. The entire Bears offense can also be downgraded with their passing game taking a huge hit without Cutler.
Cutler limped off the field, and the team can only hope that he's able to return soon. Timing wise, the Bears caught a break. They have a bye next week, and the time off will give Cutler some extra time to recover and get back to full strength.
